For a long time RLS (restless leg syndrome) was one of those relatively unknown or not widely diagnosed conditions that was often put down to something entirely unrelated.
For children with the condition this was often more of a problem because their problem was often put down to their age or the fact that they may be playing up as kids have a tendency to do anyway.
Now that restless leg syndrome is an established condition steps have be taken to have an effective diagnosis of the problem, and a suitable course of treatment to help those suffering from this illness.
Most cures are of course drugs based and involve drugs that help with other similar conditions for example Parkinson’s disease, by changing the level of dopamine in the brain. (Dopamine is the messenger in the brain that tells the muscles about the motions they need to make).
Not everyone will want to partake of a drug based cure so there are a number of more natural remedies that are coming to the fore, as well as a few lifestyle changes that can reduce the onset and sometimes severity of the symptoms.
