The basic trip: Arequipa: Dr. Canales, Colca Canyon; Nazca Lines; Moquegua: Cerro Baul; Cuzco and The Sacred Valley: Sasachuaman, Ollaytantambo, Incan Salt Mines, Machu Picchu, Aguas Calientes; and Lake Titicaca: Puno, Sillustani, Uros-the floating islands, Mt. Hayu Marca – the ‘City of the Gods’ & Puerta de Hayu Marca.

In Arequipa, visit the clinic of naturopath; Dr. Manuel Canales (who has lectured in San Antonio) attend a lecture on the macrobiotic diet complete with recipes. Lay on the rolling massage table or stand on the reflexology foot machine (it is out of this world!) You may also arrange a private consult with the Doctor. From Arequipa, visit Colca Canyon—one of the deepest canyons in the world at 10,725 feet, more than twice as deep as the Grand Canyon, where the condors fly. Walk the The Nazca Lines! Massive, mysterious and ancient drawings in the desert. Over 2000 years old, these drawings were created on a scale so large that they are only discernible from high above the surface, in a plane or spacecraft. Neither time nor weather has been able to erode them. They are in various shapes and are gigantic in size, the largest being that of a reptile, 700 ft/180 Mts. long. From Moquegua, inhabited since 10,000 B.C., climb Cerro Baul where the shamen of Peru trained for centuries, also known as the place where ‘the beings of light land!’
Visit Cuzco and the ancient sites nearby such as Sasachuaman, sacred temple of the Inca. Dine at the Hearts Cafe in Ollaytantambo then go up to the Incan Salt Mines.

Take the train to Machu Picchu and spend the day touring. Then soak in the hot springs at Aguas Calientes at the base of Machu Picchu.
Explore Lake Titicaca. From Puno, take a reeded boat to the floating islands of Uros – as an option, you may sleep on Amantani Island, in the houses of Uros Indian tribes, who live in the same way the Incans did! See the enormous Sillustani tombs, made of stone and in the shape of cylinders.
Climb Mt. Hayu Marca – revered by local Indians as the ‘City of the Gods’- where in the distant past, a door, or the ‘Puerta de Hayu Marca’ (Gate of the Gods/Spirits) was carved out of a natural rock face measuring exactly seven meters in height by seven meters in width with a smaller alcove in the center at the base, just under two meters in height. Many feel light beings use this door when visiting earth. Locals will tell you of the ‘beings’ they see on the mountain! Some taxi’s will let you off at a distance rather than approaching the mountain!
These are just the hightlights of this trip!

We will practice the ancient knowledge of the Incans and pre-Incans of medicinal plants and spirituality. Taking place in different rituals to cleanse the mind, body and spirit. We will remove stress & negative energy and regain our positive self. Remembering our sacred presence while being grounded through our contact with nature and the light. Participation in the cleansing ceremonies is, of course, optional. A San Antonio based photographer is available to document your trip exploring both the medical wonders and the unique jewelry of the region.

Brief description of the Ayahuasca ceremony: a Master Shaman who takes a seat with the participants making a circle directs it. The place has to be semi-dark and silent. The Shaman starts the ceremony “icarando” (smoking and blowing) the beverage with the smoke of Mapacho (Nicotina specie) asking the Almighty for permission and that of the spirits of the plants before starting the ritual. The effect of the hallucinogenic beverage is shown 20 to 30 minutes after drinking, and the trance lasts from 2 to 3 hours. Many other ceremonies will be offered during the course of the trip.
