Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or OCD, is a type of anxiety disorder where a person is plagued by repeated, unwanted thoughts, fears and obsessions or the need to do repetitive behaviours such as counting as they walk, excessive cleaning, washing hands, or checking to see if the stove is off several times before leaving the house.
I had a friend over for dinner the other night and she told me she has been aware of her OCD since the 8th grade.
