What happens if one partner learns that their partner has cheated? The most crucial step after a cheating case has occurred is considering health concerns. The reason is that in addition to deeply hurting one’s partner, the partner has now been exposed to the potential of a life threatening disease such as HPV or HIV/AIDS.

Even if a condom was used for protection, there are no guarantees of complete safety from sexually transmitted diseases. In fact, many STD’s go on without detection. One such STD is the Human Papillomavirus, more commonly known as HPV.

The U.S. Dept. of Health has stated the following: “Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most common causes of sexually transmitted infection (STI) in the world. Many people can be infected with HPV have no symptoms. High-risk HPV may cause abnormal Pap smears, and could lead to cancers of the cervix, vulva, vagina, anus, or penis.” Considering the dire consequences, as soon as one discovers that a partner has cheated, they should be tested for various forms of STDs including AIDS and HPV.

Even if a partner will say the other person is safe, automatically trusting their word is not in anyone’s best interests. If the partner has already lied and cheated, trusting them with safety issues such as herpes or HPV is not a good idea.

When all is said and done, is saying I’m sorry really enough? Unfortunately, many people believe, once a cheater, always a cheater and sadly, some people have a predilection for cheating. Saying I’m sorry may just be an attempt at going through the motions in a relationship affected by sexually transmitted diseases.

If that is the case, there is nothing the non-cheating person can do to stop their partner from cheating and therefore saying I’m sorry, is not good enough. But if one is truly sorry for the indiscretion, and both agree to work on the marriage, seeking the expertise of a qualified marriage counselor is paramount.

Because the pain of cheating can run very deep, in order to deal with painful feelings it is best to get the help of someone who can take the partners step by step through the healing process. Additionally, a counselor will be able to help the non-cheating partner determine whether or not an “I’m sorry,” is enough to keep the relationship together.

Maintaining a stable, happy relationship does not come easily or without work. One of the keys to a fulfilling relationship is making sure to keep the lines of communication always open. To do so requires telling the truth and being willing to share real feelings with your partner.

Having a happy, successful relationship takes a great deal of patience, practice and persistence. Because there is nothing more precious than having another person in your life that you trust implicitly, working on the relationship is worth it in the long run.

Learning together, laughing together and investing time together on a regular daily basis are the key components to a successful and long-lasting relationship. Faithfulness and loyalty to another person reaps its own unique rewards. Dating or marriage relationships can be fragile, and subject to sexually transmitted diseases, such as genital herpes virus, HPV, and HIV.

Genital herpes is not a medical condition typically associated with diet; however, outbreaks of this painful virus have been linked to two amino acids. While the research is not conclusive, those who suffer from this virus are usually willing to try any remedy that may reduce the frequency and severity of herpes simplex virus outbreaks.

The herpes virus has two forms. Herpes simplex virus 1 is more common and manifests in cold sores or fever blisters that form around the mouth. Herpes simplex virus 2 outbreaks are generally found around the genitals. However, both forms of the herpes simplex virus can result in painful blisters around the mouth or genitals.

It is important to be aware that this herpes virus is very contagious. Once you have herpes, you will always have it. While it may lie dormant, it does not go away.

Research has found that people with viral diseases can benefit from a diet that is high in lysine and low in arginine. Lysine is an essential amino acid, which means it can not be synthesized in the body and must be consumed through food or supplements. This amino acid inhibits viral replication and therefore, experts say that a diet rich in lysine can reduce the severity and frequency of herpes outbreaks.

Lysine is found in many foods, good sources include:

* cheese
* eggs
* potatoes
* soybeans
* fish
* dairy products
* beef

The other amino acid associated with the herpes simplex virus is arginine. The herpes virus needs this amino acid to replicate, so a diet low in arginine can inhibit herpes. Foods high in arginine include:

* whole grains
* legumes
* nuts

Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease, otherwise known as the Herpes Simplex Virus 2, or HSV2. It is estimated that around 1 in 6 Americans currently carry the genital herpes virus.

If you have been recently diagnosed with genital herpes, you probably know that there is still no known cure for this virus. As depressing as that is, what many people do not know is that herpes is a very controllable and treatable diet. Home treatments can really help keep outbreaks at bay, and can be used as an alternative to prescription drugs, or just a way to boost the effectiveness of prescribed treatments.

The virus lays dormant in the body, even when not causing symptoms, and waits for a trigger to cause an outbreak. An outbreak can be caused by stress, sickness, poor diet, vast changes in temperature (such as a heatwave, cold snap or going on holidays to a different climate) and many other factors that vary from person to person.

This does not mean though that people with genital herpes should just suffer the rest of their lives from the symptoms and outbreaks of this disease. Because though there is no cure for genital herpes, its symptoms can be easily managed.

The key in dealing with genital herpes effectively is to avoid outbreaks. There are people with genital herpes who have not had outbreaks in years. They have been able to this with the help of a healthy lifestyle and a positive attitude. There are several home treatments for genital herpes that can be done to help avoid outbreaks and deal with it if they occur. Below are a couple of genital herpes home treatment tips that can help anyone suffering from genital herpes.

1. Good diet. The best genital herpes home treatment is food. Diet can play an important role in the control of outbreaks. Individuals with herpes should eat a lot of cranberries, broccoli, cabbage and brussels because these foods are known to effectively control genital herpes outbreaks.

2. Natural topical treatments. If outbreaks do occur you can use all-natural topical treatments such as honey, aloe vera, red marine algae, tea tree oil and eucalyptus. All of these herbal remedies have a soothing and anti-inflammatory effect that can diminish the pain and itching associated with outbreaks. You can purchase these ingredients individually, or you can get a homeopathic blend of several concentrated natural treatments from a naturopath or homeopathic practioner.

3. High lysine, low arganine. Lysine is a natural fighter of genital herpes and one of the best genital herpes home treatments. You can get lysine in pill form from health food stores, and one a day will really keep outbreaks away. It is also dynamite for avoiding cold sores. Arganine is the nasty amino acid that helps outbreaks flourish, and is found in sugary and fatty foods. Cut high arginine foods out of your diet to stop outbreaks from taking hold.

By just following these three genital herpes home treatment tips you can go a long way towards helping get outbreaks under control. As time goes on and the nutrient levels in your body change, your outbreaks will occur less frequently and be less severe and long lasting when they do.

P.S. Learn how emotional freedom technique helped people to empower their health.

If you are a sexually active adult and not in a monogamous, long-term relationship, it is important to get screened for STDs before every new sexual encounter.

If you are in an unstable relationship, where you are not sure of the fidelity of your partner, it’s vital that you be tested for STDs.

If you are not currently, but plan to be sexually active, it is imperative that you know the health status of your partner before you engage in sexual activity.

These are all good reasons to be tested for STDs, but the most important reason is your peace of mind.

Avoiding testing for a sexually transmitted disease is a natural instinct. Often people believe that not knowing is better because then they don’t have to change their behaviors or deal with the consequences. Be assured, knowing is better! With antibacterial drugs, bacterial STDs are generally curable, and lifetime health problems can be avoided. While viral STDs are not curable, they can be medically managed. Advances are being made each day toward a cure and prevention of STDs, but it is essential that one know the state of his or her own health and not transmit STDs on to others. Getting screened for STDs could save your life and the lives of others. It is to crucial to leave to chance; get tested for STDs!!!! Getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases, Chlamydia,Gonorrhea, HIV, Herpes, Hepatitis, and Syphilis can be easy and safe, quick, and confidential. Locate a STD testing center near you and speak with a counselor regarding testing for personal information and/or risk identification purposes, all information is confidential. Your personal information is protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.(HIPPA) If you find that you have been exposed to an STD, you will need to make an appointment with your health care professional for treatment. A Complete STD Panel testing option is the most current technology and maximizes reliability of results if you are not sure what you have been exposed to. You cannot tell by looking at your sexual partner whether or not he or she has an STD. You cannot always trust someone will be honest with you about their history or current health situation. STDs are a hidden and dangerous disease. Find out definitively if you are at risk of transmitting or receiving an STD. SafeLabCentre has an STD testing clinic in your area, look online today.

Any time we experience an ailment, regardless of its form – physical disease or a condition impacting the mind – the experience can range from frustrating to debilitating. Herpes is one that has no known cure and merits particular attention.

There are five stages of herpes, each defined by the progression of the herpes outbreak. With the first herpes outbreak after the contraction of the disease, these stages are often pronounced and dramatic.

To find out more about the stages of a herpes outbreak and the healing process, read on.

The Five Stages of Herpes

Redness and Mild Irritation

When an outbreak of genital herpes begins to occur, it typically starts with redness and irritation on a small part of the skin. The affected area could be itchy, painful or very sensitive to the touch – almost like a “hot spot.”

Swelling

Depending on where the outbreak occurs, swelling may or may not occur. It’s an inflammation of the region and a response of the body’s immune system.

Blisters or Sores

The most obvious symptom associated with genital herpes is the formation of small blisters in and around the genitals. These blisters are often filled with fluid and can appear as a single, small blister or as multiple blisters that cover the affected area.

Wet Ulcers

Wet ulcers are the fourth of the five stages of herpes. They appear once the blisters have broken. Essentially, they look like very swollen and irritated cuts. They will often feel raw, tender and sore. The wet ulcers could appear as several ulcers or as a single, small sore.

Dry Crusting or Scabbing

Once the wet ulcers begin healing, scabs will start to form over the region. Eventually, the dry crusts will harden and new skin will start to grow. Over time, the scab will fall off.

The End of Healing

A herpes outbreak is considered complete once the scabs fall off and healthy skin is revealed. That said, the affected area may still appear red, but it’s no longer sensitive.

The Spread of Herpes

Even though your herpes outbreak may be over and done with, you can still spread the disease. When an outbreak isn’t present, this is called the asymptomatic phase, which means there are no symptoms. However, the disease is still present and though the risk is small, it can still be spread.

Since there is no treatment to fully affect or prevent the spread of genital herpes, it’s critical that people who have been diagnosed with genital herpes always use a condom or latex barrier during sexual contact.

It’s also important to remember that condoms are not 100% effective in preventing the transmission of herpes. If the affected area is outside the area covered or protected by the condom, the disease may still be spread.

So, even though you are not experiencing any of the stages of herpes, it’s important to provide protection during any sexual encounter.

An STD test can find the presence of many sexually transmitted diseases (STD). There are many kinds of STD tests. Some test for a single type of infection. Other tests include a panel of individual tests to check for an array of STIs, including syphilis, Trichomonas, gonorrhea, chlamydia, Herpes, hepatitis and HIV tests. There is no test or panel of tests that can identify all infectious agents, so it is important to be aware what a given test will detect.

There are a number of good reasons to get an STD test. Some of the include:

A diagnostic test to determine the cause of a symptoms or an illness

A screening test to detect asymptomatic or presymptomatic infections

To check if potential long-term sexual partners are free of diseases before they engaging in unprotected sex

A mandatory check prior to or during pregnancy, to prevent harm to the baby

A check after birth, to check that the baby has not caught an STI from their mother

To prevent the use of infected donated blood or organs

To help the tracing process from a known infected individual

Not all STIs are symptomatic, and symptoms may not appear right away. In some instances a disease can be carried with no outward symptoms for many months or even years. So testing does not always guarantee protection against STDs.
